形式特别是结构很对称。叙事分三部分。头尾对称。中间是Dream Sequence。进出Dream Seq都用了推轨+移焦[很少见]。Dream Seq又分两部分。前一部分相当于chase film，剪辑上以动作匹配为主导。后一部分相当于feerie，剪辑上以套层的cut-in+cut-back为主导。巨手威胁的叠画手法后一年又用在Cabiria中。
